Editorial: Multiphase flow behavior in the deep-stratum and deep-water wellbores

state, heat/mass transfer between gas and liquid, fluid hydrodynamics in the wellbore depend highly on temperature pressure conditions, multiphase flow behaviors deep-stratum deep-water wellbores become much more complicated. Different from conventional oil exploitation, production of deep stratum regions involves multiple complex physical phenomena, such as phase transition (gas-liquid-solid-supercritical), particle deposition (wax, hydrate, water scale, asphaltene, etc.), changes induced by change, so on. It is, therefore, high importance to discuss behavior wellbores. This Research Topic aims explore recent developments this area focused following two aspects: 1) Numerical simulations gas-liquid or liquid-solid two-phase porous media, 2) Experiments pipelines There are a total 12 articles under Topic.
